World Build Program Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the World Build Program and Mini Hackathon ("Hackathon"), organized by Friends With Benefits ("Organizer"). By registering for or participating in the Hackathon, you ("Participant") acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Participation in the Hackathon requires either:

• A valid GitHub profile. Participants without a GitHub profile may create one at www.github.com. Creation and use of a GitHub profile are subject to GitHub’s terms of service and privacy notice.
• Completion of an application form.

2.2 Participants must be at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of registration. By registering, Participants represent and warrant that they meet this age requirement.

2.3 The maximum number of Participants permitted per team is six (6). Only two places will be offered to a team for the residential build sprint in Argentina.

2.4 Participants are responsible for ensuring that their participation in the Hackathon complies with all applicable local laws and regulations, including but not limited to laws governing the receipt and use of cryptocurrency. Participation is prohibited for individuals or entities located in jurisdictions subject to international sanctions or other legal restrictions that prevent their participation.

3. Program Timeline

The Hackathon will follow this schedule (all times are Eastern Time, "ET"):

• Kickoff: 6pm, February 6, 2025
• Hacking Ends: 6pm, February 8, 2025
• Voting/Judging Period: 6pm-7pm, February 8, 2025

The Residential build sprint and other elements of the program are:

• Argentina build retreat (February 21–28)
• Online Build Program (February 28–May 15)
• Demo Day (TBC, May 2025)
